Over the past couple of years, I’ve heard all the hype about CBD, but I never really paid much attention to it. Sure, a lot of people I know were touting its benefits: it seemed like everyone was taking it for pain, or insomnia, or just to feel better.

But my problems were more severe, and I didn’t think CBD could even begin to touch them: I had been taking Vicodin to control the cervical and head pain from the trauma I suffered playing football. Over time I’d tried to reduce the amount of narcotics I was taking, and the result was pain and symptoms of withdrawal. Opioids are highly addictive, and withdrawal, while not life-threatening, can be severe. If anybody told me about such a substance, I would have been sure it was “too good to be true.”[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]I had done some research on CBD, and I was sure it was just a fad that would soon pass. Plus, I wasn’t convinced it would work. First, it was all-natural: I was on strong stuff, and I believed what big pharma told me, that powerful pharmaceuticals are the only thing that can bring relief. What first surprised me was the price: $87 for a bottle of maximum strength oil (3000mg). I started out taking 75mg per day in three doses of 25mg, starting first thing in the morning. I consume it by placing the oil under my tongue and holding it there for about a minute to get the most CBD into my system possible. Within three months, I was able to stop taking Vicodin – and with no withdrawal symptoms! If someone had told me four months ago that I’d see results like this, I wouldn’t have believed them. I also suffer from post-concussion syndrome and, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, haven’t been able to get to my balance therapy or water therapy. Sunrise CBD allowed me to start with bike-riding therapy, and I am now biking more than 30 miles every other day. My doctor is pleased and doesn’t seem surprised at the results of the CBD regimen.
