Happy family benefits of CBD

While CBD seems to have suddenly come on the scene, the use of the hemp plant (Cannabis sativa) in medicine is nothing new. However, hemp, in the form of CBD, is experiencing an amazing resurgence. Today, our customers use CBD as a natural remedy for many ailments including insomnia, depression, anxiety, migraines, acne, muscle pain, rheumatism, chronic pain and much more. CBD is similar to the chemicals naturally created by our bodies, so it helps reduce symptoms better than some synthetic drugs – without harmful side effects.

CBD is extracted from the hemp plant and is made into oil, cream, isolate, vape oil, and food. The World Health Organization concluded that naturally occurring CBD is safe and well tolerated in humans (and animals), and isn’t associated with abuse potential.

Forbes reported that a study of 1,000 seniors ages 54 and up found that 9% of seniors have tried CBD for health-related reasons. “51% of those that have tried it reported having an improved quality of life afterward. Over 65% of the seniors surveyed that tried CBD said that their quality of life was good, while only 31.1% said the same before trying CBD,” according to the article.

According to the study, conducted by Remedy Review, more than half of the seniors interviewed took CBD via oral drops. More than 60% of the seniors who tried CBD said that it helped reduce their pain, and 45.6% reported improved sleep quality. Seniors also reported having reduced anxiety, stress relief, and a more positive mood, the study found. CBD Can Benefit Pets, Too

Animals also benefit from CBD’s therapeutic properties. It’s the reason we sell CBD drops for pets. Consumers report CBD helps relieve their pets of symptoms associated with inflammation, epilepsy, fearfulness, rheumatoid arthritis, anxiety, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), pain, nausea, glaucoma, and skin problems.

Our pets are much smaller than us and their endocannabinoid system more complex, so they tend to feel the effects more acutely than we do. Dr. Cornelia Wagner of the Hawthorne Veterinary Clinic in Portland, OR, suggests starting with the lowest amount possible and gradually increasing the dose every 5 days until the desired effect is achieved.
